What People Are Saying About Us...
Hey Chris Dunn, the Dunn family, volunteers, sponsors, and "acidotic RACING",
As a "die-hard" WMAC member, snowshoe racer since about 2001, and moreover as one of the 3 Northeast Regional Representatives of the United States Snowshoe Association (USSSA) I just wanted to commend you and "acidotic" for providing all participants with an awesome snowshoe event today. In particular Chris, your enthusiasm and caring about ALL competitors, great organization, and greeting us at the finish deserve more than ordinary recognition. The "swag" was really nice, however the kids's events were the highlight of the day. This unique winter sport of snowshoe racing is growing steadily and it's refreshing to see kids embrace it on their own level. I intend to pass on my very positive experience to Ed Alibozek, the Guru of the WMAC snowshoe series. The course was perfectly marked, and indeed challenging with the ups, downs, and of course Cobble Mtn (personally my favorite part). By the way Chris, that guy at the top of Cobble Mtn looked way too young to be your Dad! Thanks for having this event. The WMAC'ers present today, and others who I talked with after the race were very impressed! Nice job! As you know the WMAC snowshoe series is the "Holy Grail" of snowshoe racing in the Northeast but they/we/I have always appreciated and welcomed those who promote the spirit of snowshoe racing. You truly did that at Cobble Mtn today and many people thank you.
Kudo's to all!

Mountain runners from across the northeast will descend on Loon Mountain on July 7th for the fifth race in the USATF-NE Mountain Circuit. In reality however, this "uphill" race has very little in the way of running downhill. Competitors will traverse the 5.7 mile course on a combination of ski slopes and service roads culminating with one of the most difficult kilometers in all of mountain racing...the infamous Upper Walking Boss. This black diamond ski run averages 40% grade! Visit our event webpage for more details.
